He takes us back to a vital moment in the foundation of what would become the West, a time full of intent, confidence and ideas, to tells a whole new – and surprising – story about the birth of the United States of America.
Peter Moore is an historian and author, whose books include Endeavour: The Ship and the Attitude that Changed the World and The Weather Experiment: The Pioneers who Sought to See the Future. His latest book is the acclaimed Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness: Britain and the American Dream (1740-1776).
