Sir Richard J. Evans is one of the world’s leading historians of modern Germany. He was Regius Professor of History at Cambridge from 2008 to 2014, and President of Wolfson College, Cambridge. His books include The Pursuit of Power: Europe 1815-1914, Eric Hobsbawm: A Life in History, and The Hitler Conspiracies: the Third Reich and the Paranoid Imagination. His latest book is Hitler’s People: The Faces of the Third Reich (Allen Lane).
